LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

FULL TIME - Winston Salem, NC

• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
• Sending Load Assignments To Carriers timely.
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
• Daily Track and Trace load movements by inquiring for Load Status Updates from the carriers. This is done by email, phone calls and various other tools Salem Global has in place.
• Provide the Shipper/Customer with accurate and timely load status ETA's and updates by Email and Phone.
• Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
• Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
• Tracking and fixing shipping errors
• Preparing bills and invoices (understand the process)
• Managing distribution and shipment budgets
• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
• Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
• Working well with various Transportation Software, Web based applications and Microsoft Outlook Email.
• Multi-Tasking phone calls and Emails.
• Organizing Yourself - Must be a self sufficient individual once becoming comfortable and knowledgeable with the job. Typically within 1 month roughly. Constant support for continued Training is provided.
